Barbara T. Bauer

Director of WIN

Barbara is an experienced international business leader with a current focus on impact investing and social enterprise. She has just completed several years as the Executive Director, Myanmar, for Partnership for Change (PfC), a Norwegian impact investment and international development organization. Barbara worked closely with community, state and national Myanmar leaders to identify, plan and implement programs and development models that improve economic opportunities, and that can be replicated or scaled up, increasing benefit and community skills.

Prior to this position, Barbara was a Princeton in Asia Senior Fellow, working in Myanmar and Thailand on projects supporting opportunities for Myanmar refugees. She has also started two boutique businesses: GlobalSight Partners, an international management consulting organization, and Silk and Stones Travel, a boutique travel company specializing in custom designed sustainable tourism tours to Southeast Asia. Barbara also developed and led the innovative Center for Women Entrepreneurs at the University of Denver. During her career she held executive positions at Sun Microsystems, StorageTek, US West, Raynet, and Bell Laboratories. Her academic credentials include a B.S. and M.S. in Physics, and the Stanford Summer Executive Program.

Emily Klein


Emily Klein is the Programs Manager for Rockies Venture Club, managing the group’s events, marketing, communications, and investor membership. She is also an Associate with the Pandemic Impact Fund, an innovative venture fund investing in companies focused on current and future pandemic preparation, response, and resilience, and is involved with the Women’s Investor Network. In her current role, Emily is most passionate about providing financial and educational resources to helping startups scale their impact, and sees early-stage investment as the most important catalyst for promoting more sustainable, diverse, and creative companies.

Prior to her work with Rockies Venture Club, she worked in the outdoor industry managing travel planning for international cycling tours. She then completed her MBA with a focus on sustainability + impact investing in Burlington, Vermont in 2019 where she worked on a number of sustainable investing projects creating impact strategies in public and private markets. She also founded the school’s Women in Business group to promote women in sustainability leadership.

Emily is a graduate of Brown University and UVM Grossman School of Business. Outside of work, you can find her mentoring young entrepreneurs, designing jewelry, and playing in the Colorado mountains.

Claudia Dyga


Claudia is a Finance major at the University Of Colorado in Boulder set to graduate in December 2020. Born and raised in Colorado she enjoys all the Coloradoan basics: hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding and camping. She is a first generation Polish American citizen, being the first to attend a four year university. Being a Coloradoan, Claudia is very passionate about the economic development brought by the new and innovative ventures coming to Colorado. As an innovative business student, Claudia is very driven by creative business strategy and business development. Claudia has showcased her application of strategy, ideation and leadership in her courses, winning several class market simulations and pitch competitions. Claudia has an uplifting spirit and is always willing to take on challenges to improve processes.


WIN’s mission is to increase diversity in our investing community, we have established the Women’s Investor Network, led by entrepreneur leader Barbara T. Bauer.  The purpose of WIN is to engage women with an engaged community, new programs, educational content, and opportunities to invest.
