What do you think is the cause of tech’s diversity problem?

In a recent survey First Round Capital asked 700 startup CEO’s and Founders about a variety of different topics. When asked about the root cause of that lack of diversity in tech, males pointed to the lack of a reliable pipeline into tech, wheras females tend to point to uncouncious bias and the lack of stong role models. What do you think? One of the most suprising results was the fact that 18% of founders are certain they will build a billion dollar company when in fact only 0.09% actually reach that stage.

Rockies Venture Club and The Founders Institute are holding multiple startup pitch events over the next month to help inspired entrepreneurs refine their pitch because the best pitches are well practiced and refined over time in front of multiple audiences.
